What if I told you that whether you like it or not, you have an organic bounty filled with amazing health benefits and detoxifying properties growing in your backyard? Would you think I’m totally nuts? Don’t answer that second question.
You DO – and it’s in the form of the almighty dandelion! Can you believe it? No planting, watering, or feeding required. And in the spirit of complete transparency, I must admit I’ve been a bit obsessed lately, picking dandelion greens in every corner of my neighborhood. Typically, I can be seen mid-walk – stopping, stooping, picking, stuffing my bounty in the stroller (I’m usually with my protégé), and carrying on. Sure, I get crazy looks, but whatever. Haters gonna hate. This was my yield last night. Not too shabby. And free.

* good source of fiber
- ½ cup sliced strawberries *
- ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen) *
- ½ cup dandelion greens (rinsed well) *
- ½ cup crushed ice
- ¼ cup plain yogurt (I make my own using this)
- ¼ cup milk of your choice (I used coconut milk)
- 1 tbsp. white chia seed (optional)
- 1 tsp. coconut butter
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
